Roy home sales move up in November
Sales of existing single-family homes in Roy Utah area rose year-over-year for the seventh straight months, however prices were continued to depreciate, and November median was marked as the 17th consecutive home price depreciation in yearly comparison.
In November, a total of 38 new and resale single-family homes sold in the area. That was down 15.56 percent from 45 in October, but slightly move up 5.26 percent from 36 in the same month the year ago, according to a local MLS reports which tracks the monthly Roy Utah real estate sales and prices.
The median price paid for all the Roy Utah houses sold in November was $133,250, down 4.48 percent from November’s median of $145,587 and down almost nine percent from the year ago median of $145,587. The median registered last month was the second all-time low on the record behind September of this year median of $130,250.
The median price paid per square foot (an alternative home-price gauge) for single-family Roy Utah homes was dropped to $70.63 last month from $75.23 in September and down 13.05 percent from 81.23 in November 2010.
